Cloud & IT Security Analyst

You will be responsible for planning and implementing security measures to safeguard Evergent SaaS systems, internal networks, and data platform. It is essential to stay updated on the latest Information Security intelligence, including hackers" methodologies, to proactively anticipate security breaches. Your role will involve preventing data loss and service interruptions by researching and implementing new technologies that effectively protect the network. As a Cloud & IT Security Analyst at Evergent, your key responsibilities will include monitoring and safeguarding organizational cloud infrastructure and IT systems, conducting security assessments, vulnerability scans, Pen Testing, DAST, and SAST. You will also analyze security logs, investigate potential threats, implement and maintain security controls and policies, manage cloud security configurations, respond to and mitigate security incidents, and assist in annual Security Audits for various compliance standards like PCI-DSS, SSAE18, GDPR, and more. Additionally, you will respond to client RFP/RFI regarding Evergent Security, define access privileges, control structures, and resources to protect systems, and identify and report abnormalities while implementing security improvements. Required skills for this role include knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, cybersecurity principles, network security, risk management, compliance frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001, and security tools like SIEM, IDS/IPS. Typical certifications that are preferred for this position include CompTIA Security+, AWS Certified Security - Specialty, (ISC) CCSP, CISSP. Qualifications and Education Requirements: - BE, B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA, or any Bachelor's degree in computer science Preferred Skills: - 4 to 8 years of experience in information technology or security - Strong written and oral communication skills - Organized, responsive, and highly thorough problem solver - Minimum Certification of an Associate's degree in Computers, Technology, or a related field - Technical Knowledge: UNIX, AIX, Linux, Cisco Network IDS, Cisco Host-based IDS, eTrust Access Control, ESM, and IDS.
