Azure Cloud Infrastructure Monitoring Engineer

This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on with Azure monitoring tools, proactive in identifying system issues, and experienced in ensuring the performance, health, and reliability of cloud-based infrastructure.

You will design and implement monitoring solutions across Azure services, collaborate with cloud and security teams, and play a key role in optimizing cloud performance in a regulated environment.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

• Design and build monitoring solutions using Azure-native tools:

• Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, Microsoft Sentinel

• Develop dashboards, alerts, reporting systems to track infrastructure health, performance & usage
• Collaborate with Cloud Architects, DevOps & Security teams to define observability requirements
• Implement automated alerting and incident response workflows
• Ensure monitoring processes align with

  financial industry compliance & governance

• Continuously improve monitoring coverage across compute, storage, networking & security layers
• Provide insights for

  cost optimization

  using Azure Cost Management
• Monitor

  Azure Databricks clusters

  via Azure Monitor
• Support proactive troubleshooting and system reliability improvements

🛠 Required Qualifications

• 5+ years

  in IT infrastructure/cloud operations

• 2+ years

  hands-on in Azure monitoring
• Expertise in:
• ✔ Azure Monitor
• ✔ Log Analytics
• ✔ Application Insights
• ✔ Azure Alerts
• ✔ Microsoft Sentinel
• Strong experience with

  Azure Cost Management

  (compute/storage/networking)
• Experience monitoring

  Databricks

  clusters
• Proficiency in

  Terraform

  ,

  ARM Templates

  , IaC automation
• Scripting skills in

  Python

  &

  Azure CLI

• Experience in

  financial services

  or regulated environments (preferred)
• Understanding of cloud security & compliance frameworks
• (PCI DSS, SOC 2, GDPR, etc.)
• Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and analytical skills
