We are currently looking for a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our technology strategy, architecture, and product innovation from our Berlin headquarters. This role will be a hybrid position, requiring office attendance. As the CTO, you will be responsible for shaping our technical vision and overseeing a team of engineers who leverage cutting-edge AI technologies to solve end-user problems. You will play a key role in driving the rapid development, scalability, security, and AI-driven innovation of our platform. This hands-on leadership position calls for expertise in AI, backend and frontend development, cloud architecture, and product management. Key Responsibilities: - Prioritize speed of creation, ensuring rapid progress and quick decision-making for both short and long-term planning. - Define and execute the technical strategy, focusing on scalability and security. - Drive AI development and integration to enhance the business and product. - Lead backend development using AWS, Google Cloud, and APIs, with a focus on Node.js and Python. - Supervise the frontend team, utilizing technologies like Next.js, React, and Tailwind CSS to deliver a seamless user experience. - Collaborate with various teams to translate business objectives into technical solutions. - Build and manage a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and execution. - Develop systems and protocols for security, compliance, and operational excellence. - Collaborate with stakeholders to shape the product vision. Qualifications: - 7+ years of software development experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role. - Proven track record in building and scaling B2C platforms. - Familiarity with Serverless Architecture and Container Orchestration Framework. - Expertise in developing Large Language Model (LLM) applications and AI frameworks. - Strong backend and frontend development skills. - Deep understanding of AWS architecture, cloud security, and CI/CD practices. - Experience with DevOps tools and web application deployment on AWS. - Product management experience and strong team leadership skills. - Excellent problem-solving abilities and fluency in English. - Bonus points for experience in building and scaling services marketplaces and native app development.
