3D models
using AutoCAD and SolidWorks for sheet metal, fabrication, and assembly designs.
Develop and maintain
engineering drawings, BOMs, and documentation
for production.
Prepare
GA drawings
,
sectional details
, and
fabrication layouts
for manufacturing and client approval.
Collaborate with production teams to ensure
design feasibility
and resolve fabrication challenges.
Update existing designs as per
revision requests
or
project specifications
.
Ensure
drawing standards, tolerances, and dimensioning
comply with company and industry norms.
Support design automation, template creation, and efficient drawing workflow improvements.
Coordinate with QC and production teams for
design-to-production validation
.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Diploma / B.Tech / BE
in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
3 - 5 years of experience
in sheet metal design, fabrication, or related mechanical industries.
Proficiency in
AutoCAD (2D & 3D)
and
SolidWorks
(Part, Assembly, and Drawing modules).
Strong understanding of
sheet metal design principles
, material behavior, and fabrication processes.
Familiar with
GD&T
, tolerances, and dimensioning standards.
Ability to interpret and create detailed mechanical and fabrication drawings.
Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred (Added Advantage)

Experience in
door/frame/hardware design
or
metal fabrication industry
.
Knowledge of
ERP-based design workflows
or
design automation tools (VBA, macros)
.
Exposure to
manufacturing process optimization
or
production planning collaboration
.
