Business Intelligence Developer

We are seeking a skilled Tableau Developer with at least 5 years of experience in crafting interactive and visually appealing reports and dashboards. In this role, you will be tasked with translating business needs into insightful visualizations using Tableau or other Business Intelligence tools. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing data models, reports, and visualizations. Your primary responsibilities will include designing, developing, and deploying reports and dashboards that offer actionable insights to business stakeholders. It is essential to ensure that the visualizations are not only user-friendly but also visually captivating. You will be expected to build and manage efficient data models by consolidating data from various sources and executing data transformation activities using data flows and jobs in Tableau Prep and Tableau Desktop. Optimizing Tableau reports and dashboards for improved performance, scalability, and handling larger datasets will also be a key focus area. Furthermore, you will be involved in installing, configuring, publishing, and maintaining Tableau reports on Tableau Server. Monitoring and administering Tableau Server and Service performance, datasets, and refresh schedules will be crucial, along with troubleshooting issues related to report publishing, access, and refresh failures. Managing user access, roles, and permissions in Tableau server environments to ensure proper access based on business requirements will also fall under your purview. The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science/Technology, MCA/BCA, or a related field. Proven experience in designing interactive dashboards and reports, familiarity with data sources like SQL Server, Excel, Impala, a strong grasp of data visualization principles and best practices, and experience in optimizing reports for large datasets are essential requirements. To excel in this role, you must have experience working on IT implementation projects and demonstrate proficiency in developing Tableau reports and related enhancements efficiently and effectively. Ensuring data accuracy and consistency in Tableau reports, following Tableau best practices in dashboard design, performance optimization, and coding standards, and effectively managing stakeholders by communicating clearly in verbal and written forms are also critical for success.
