Job Summary

The Blockchain Program Lead will be responsible for driving the organisation’s blockchain initiatives, overseeing the design, development, deployment, and scaling of blockchain-based applications and solutions. This role requires deep expertise in distributed ledger technologies, smart contract design, and enterprise-grade blockchain integration. The ideal candidate will combine strong leadership abilities with technical and strategic vision to steer blockchain programs from concept to implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end execution of blockchain programs, including planning, architecture, development, and integration.
• Make key architectural decisions ensuring scalable, secure, and robust blockchain applications.
• Supervise a team of blockchain engineers, smart contract developers, architects, and analysts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional units such as Product, IT Security, Compliance, and Business Strategy to align blockchain solutions with organisational goals.
• Oversee development and deployment of smart contracts, decentralised applications (dApps), and crypto-based services.
• Evaluate emerging blockchain platforms, frameworks, and protocols to propose innovative adoption opportunities.
• Conduct security reviews, audits, and performance tuning of blockchain networks.
• Manage relationships with vendors, research institutions, and blockchain consortia to strengthen industry collaboration.
• Prepare detailed technical documentation, reports, and executive-level presentations summarising blockchain initiatives.
• Mentor team members, promote knowledge sharing, and build in-house blockchain capability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in blockchain and distributed ledger technologies, with at least 2 years leading technical blockchain teams.
• Proven experience with Ethereum, Hyperledger, Polygon, or other major blockchain infrastructures.
• Proficiency in Solidity, Rust, Go, Python, or Node.js, and experience with Web3 libraries.
• Strong understanding of consensus algorithms (PoW, PoS, PBFT, etc.) and cryptographic protocols.
• Demonstrated expertise in project management and agile methodology.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with a record of innovation in blockchain architecture.

Preferred Skills

• Experience developing tokenomics models, governance frameworks, or DeFi projects.
• Familiarity with Zero-Knowledge Proofs, Layer-2 solutions, or interoperability standards like Polkadot or Cosmos.
• Prior experience in managing enterprise blockchain adoption or consortium participation.
