About the Role

Be a hands-on contributor on Azure Databricks projects with full involvement in PySpark development. You will design, build, optimize and operationalize data pipelines and solutions across Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, and Data Marts.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Databricks and PySpark.
• Design and implement data models and transformations for Data Warehouse and Data Mart needs.
• Perform data ingestion, preparation, integration and operationalization for analytics and reporting.
• Write and optimize advanced SQL queries and ensure high-performance data access.
• Work within the overall architecture involving Data Lakes, Data Warehouses and downstream consumers.
• Take ownership of the end-to-end development lifecycle — from coding and unit tests to deployment and support.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, data engineers, architects and QA teams to deliver robust solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Databricks (must-have).
• Proven PySpark development expertise and coding experience.
• Advanced SQL skills for complex query development and optimization.
• Experience with Data Warehousing concepts and implementation.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills

• Python development beyond PySpark.
• Familiarity with Azure data services (e.g., ADLS, Azure Data Factory, Synapse).
• Experience with CI/CD for data pipelines and Databricks jobs.
