Backend PHP Developer

You are a highly skilled and motivated Backend PHP Developer with 3+ years of experience based in Gurgaon. Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining robust, scalable web applications using Core PHP and the CakePHP framework. You will be required to write efficient SQL queries and manage relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL. Additionally, deploying and managing applications on AWS infrastructure (EC2, S3, RDS, etc.) will be part of your routine tasks. You are expected to actively participate in code reviews, design discussions, and Agile ceremonies like daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives. Thorough debugging, unit testing, and integration testing are essential to ensure high application reliability. Maintaining clean, well-documented code following industry standards and best practices is crucial. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including UI/UX designers, frontend developers, and QA engineers, is key to project success. You will be using Git for version control and following CI/CD practices for deployments. To excel in this role, you must have strong hands-on experience with Core PHP and CakePHP. Proficiency in SQL and working with relational databases is a must. Experience in deploying and managing apps on AWS, a solid understanding of Git and version control workflows, familiarity with Agile development methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), strong debugging and problem-solving skills, experience with testing frameworks, and writing testable code are all required. Good documentation skills for code and technical specifications are also expected.
