Backend Lead

You will be responsible for helping to design, build, and continually enhance the client's online platform. This includes researching, suggesting, and implementing new technology solutions while adhering to best practices and standards. You will play a key role in ensuring the resiliency and availability of various products. Collaboration and productivity within the team are essential aspects of this role. As a seasoned Backend Engineer, you should possess in-depth expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, and serverless AWS architectures. Leading the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of scalable backend services will be part of your responsibilities. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will be involved in delivering high-performance applications. Your tasks will also include designing and developing scalable backend applications using Node.js, TypeScript, and Express.js. Architecting serverless solutions on AWS, utilizing Lambda, API Gateway, and other cloud-native services, will be a significant part of your role. Managing AWS infrastructure with Terraform and ensuring reliable and repeatable deployments are crucial responsibilities. Collaboration with product and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions is also expected from you. You must have expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, and Express.js at an expert level. Hands-on experience with AWS Serverless technologies such as Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, CloudWatch, IAM, etc., is essential. Proficiency in Terraform for deploying serverless applications is required. Deep knowledge of DynamoDB, including data modeling and query optimization, is also necessary. Experience with secure authentication/authorization mechanisms like SSO, OAuth, and Firebase Auth is a key requirement. Proficiency in testing through unit testing (Jest, Mocha) and test automation is important. A degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred. Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, containerization, cloud security best practices, and performance tuning and optimization of Node.js apps and AWS services is beneficial.
