About Us

At THE IT GUY, we craft intelligent, scalable systems that bridge hardware, AI, and software—powering next-generation products in streaming, IoT, and automation. Our projects range from AI-driven classification pipelines (Azure AI Foundry, OpenAI, vector search, ML models) to real-time signaling systems (NestJS, MQTT, WebRTC, RTMP) and SaaS dashboards with multi-tenant, role-based access control.

If you enjoy building systems end-to-end—from API design and data modeling to integrating AI models and optimizing inference pipelines—you’ll love working with us.

Key Responsibilities

Backend Architecture & Development
Design and implement modular, scalable REST & GraphQL APIs using NestJS / Node.js / TypeScript.
Build and optimize database models using Prisma (PostgreSQL / MongoDB) with advanced query filtering, pagination, and role-based access.
Develop multi-tenant SaaS backend logic (JWT auth, refresh tokens, permissions, audit logs).
AI & Data Intelligence
Integrate and orchestrate LLMs and SLMs (Azure OpenAI, local models) for classification, enrichment, and reasoning.
Build agentic pipelines that chain ML classifier outputs with semantic reasoning and web-based enrichment layers.
Implement vector search, embeddings, and prompt-flow-based inference systems using Azure AI Search.
Work on model evaluation, feedback loops, and automated retraining or fine-tuning triggers.
Systems Integration
Develop and manage MQTT-based messaging systems for device communication and signaling.
Build WebRTC/RTMP streaming services for video/audio pipelines integrated with NodeMediaServer, Janus, or Asterisk.
Write automation scripts and microservices to handle real-time workflows and OTA updates for connected devices.
DevOps & Infra
Deploy services using Docker, PM2, or Jenkins pipelines on DigitalOcean / AWS / Azure.
Optimize APIs for scalability, security, and performance (rate limiting, caching, CSP headers, Brotli compression).
Manage secrets, environment configs, and CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred Skills

Core Backend:

NestJS / Node.js / Express
Prisma ORM / TypeORM
PostgreSQL / MongoDB
JWT, OAuth2, RBAC

AI Stack:

Azure AI Foundry, OpenAI SDK
Vector Search (Azure AI Search, Pinecone, or equivalent)
Model orchestration (PromptFlow, LangChain, or custom pipelines)
Familiarity with text classification, embeddings, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)

System & Infra:

MQTT / WebRTC / RTMP
Docker / Jenkins / Nginx
Cloud (Azure, AWS, DigitalOcean)
REST, WebSocket, and real-time architecture

Nice to Have

Experience with React / Next.js dashboards and integration of backend APIs.
Familiarity with IoT or hardware integrations (Raspberry Pi, camera/mic devices, relays, RF modules).
Understanding of data labeling pipelines, model evaluation, or ML Ops.
Exposure to Flutter / Electron apps interacting with backend APIs.
