Job Description

Centrelocus

Role: Backend Engineer (Node.js / Nest.js)

What You’ll Do

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services & APIs
Work with
Node.js & Nest.js
to build robust backend architectures
Collaborate with frontend/mobile teams to deliver smooth integrations
Contribute to system design discussions, scalability strategies, and performance optimization
Ensure high-quality code, testing, and documentation

What We’re Looking For

3–5 years experience in backend development with Node.js (Nest.js an advantageous)

Strong knowledge of REST & GraphQL APIs, microservices, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)

Hands-on experience with databases (SQL & NoSQL), caching, and messaging queues

Exposure to AI/ML service integration (OpenAI, HuggingFace, Vector DBs) is a plus

Strong debugging, problem-solving, and teamwork skills

Good to Have

Experience with Python or AI-related projects
Knowledge of containerization (Docker)
Prior experience in SaaS or mobile backend systems
