Backend Engineer (Embedded C/C++)

About the role: As a software engineer in this role, you will be responsible for developing detailed design structures, implementing best practices and coding standards, and leading a team of developers to ensure the successful delivery of projects. Your tasks will involve working on design, architecture, and hands-on coding for embedded/IOT devices and systems. Responsibilities: - Design and implement software for embedded/IOT devices and systems from requirements to production and commercial deployment. - Develop, code, test, and debug system software. - Review code and design for quality assurance. - Analyze and enhance efficiency, stability, and scalability of system resources. - Integrate and validate new product designs. - Support software quality assurance and optimize I/O performance. - Provide post-production support. - Interface with hardware design and development. - Assess third-party and open-source software. Requirements: - Proven working experience in software engineering. - Hands-on development and troubleshooting experience on embedded targets. - Solid programming skills in C or C++. - Experience in embedded systems design with preemptive, multitasking real-time operating systems. - Familiarity with software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, and peer review. - Excellent knowledge of OS coding techniques, IP protocols, interfaces, and hardware subsystems. - Ability to read schematics and data sheets for components. - Strong documentation and writing skills. - Entrepreneurial spirit with strong program and product management skills. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting complex plans and designs. Preferred Qualification: - Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
