Backend Engineer

As a Backend Engineer (SDE-II) with strong Golang skills, you will be responsible for building the next generation of core systems at BeBetta. Your tasks will include working on the rewards ledger and real-time data pipelines to ensure smooth and efficient operations. While the current technology stack includes Node.js, the future direction is towards Go, and you will play a crucial role in shaping that future. What You'll Achieve: - Build core backend services in Golang: Design, implement, and scale the backbone services of BeBetta. - Tackle concurrency & performance challenges: Address unique problems related to real-time gaming and sports tech to ensure accuracy and fairness for users. - Contribute to migration strategy: Collaborate on transitioning services from Node.js to Go while maintaining system reliability. - Improve engineering standards: Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code following best practices. - Ship with impact: Witness your work going live swiftly and directly enhancing the user experience. What You'll Bring: - 2-4 years of experience in building backend systems with a strong proficiency in Golang. - Experience in microservices architecture, APIs, and system design. - Familiarity with Node.js or other backend languages, with a readiness to work across different stacks if required. - Good understanding of databases (preferably PostgreSQL) and caching systems like Redis. - Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (GCP/AWS). - Strong fundamentals in testing, observability, and clean coding practices. - A problem-solving mindset, curiosity, and a passion for developing scalable systems.
