About the Role
We’re looking for a Senior Node.js / TypeScript Engineer to build and scale backend services
and platforms. You will play a key role in designing and developing systems that power ourvoice AI products, no-code workflow tools, APIs, and real-time applications. This is a hands-on role combining coding excellence, architectural input, API integration skills, and cross-team collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
● Design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and platform components using
Node.js and TypeScript.
● Build and optimize workflow-driven and real-time systems (e.g., WebSocket,event-driven pipelines).
● Integrate with third-party APIs and SDKs such as Azure Speech, ElevenLabs, Exotel,Plivo, or similar cloud services.
● Model and manage data efficiently in MongoDB, ensuring performance and scalability.
● Collaborate with frontend, product, ML, and DevOps teams to deliver cohesive solutions.
● Drive system design for scalability, reliability, and performance.
● Implement best practices for security, testing, CI/CD, and observability.
● Mentor junior developers and help raise engineering standards.
Requirements
● 5+ years of backend development, including 4+ years with Node.js and TypeScript.
● 3+ years of MongoDB experience (data modeling, indexing, optimization, scaling).
● Proven ability to design and consume APIs (REST/GraphQL) and integrate third-party
SDKs.
● Hands-on experience with workflow engines or no-code/low-code platforms.
● Familiarity with real-time systems (WebSockets, streaming, pub/sub).
● Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
● Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
Nice to Have
● Exposure to Redis or message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS).
● Experience with containerization/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
