Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Develop, test, and deploy
RESTful APIs and microservices
using Node.js (NestJS / Express).
Design and manage
data models and schemas
across MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
Implement
secure, reliable, and high-performance APIs
for payment transactions, settlements, and reconciliations.
Collaborate with frontend, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver seamless product experiences.
Integrate with third-party
payment gateways, banks, and reconciliation services
.
Troubleshoot production issues and optimize performance and reliability.
Contribute to code reviews, architecture discussions, and continuous improvement.
Follow best practices for
logging, monitoring, error handling, and security compliance (PCI DSS, data encryption, etc.)
.

Technical Skills Required

Strong proficiency in
JavaScript / TypeScript
.
Hands-on experience with
Node.js frameworks
: NestJS or Express.
Good understanding of
REST APIs, authentication (OAuth2, JWT), and microservice communication
.
Experience with
MongoDB
and
PostgreSQL
(schemas, queries, indexes, optimization).
Knowledge of
message queues
(Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar) is a plus.
Familiarity with
Docker
,
Git
, and
CI/CD pipelines
.
Experience working with
payment gateways, UPI, or financial transaction systems
is highly preferred.
Basic understanding of
asynchronous programming, concurrency, and scalability patterns
.

Good to Have

Exposure to
NestJS dependency injection and modular architecture
.
Experience with
TypeORM / Mongoose
.
Understanding of
Reconciliation, Settlement, and Payout/Payin workflows
.
Prior experience in
FinTech, Banking, or Payments
domain.
