Job Description

You will be joining Schneider Electric, a global leader in energy management and automation, in their Gurugram team as a backend developer. Your primary responsibility will be to enhance the cloud capabilities and integrate digital technologies into the operations. As a candidate with a Computer Science background and proficient programming skills, you will work closely with business teams to understand key metrics important to customers. Key Responsibilities: - Develop a comprehensive understanding of IoT stack and owned application architectures. - Deep dive into the solution offerings provided by the company. - Keep abreast of industry trends, market demands, and competitor products/solutions. - Take charge of in-house developed data analytics frameworks like Metrics and Reports. - Define metrics and reports based on business use cases for insightful outcomes. - Create new reports and improve existing ones to meet evolving business requirements. - Document all implemented changes, features, and owned applications. - Collaborate with the Offer team to understand requirements, develop changes, and guide through the SDLC journey with post-production support. - Prioritize critical requirements and ensure timely delivery. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in CSE/IT engineering. - 2 to 4 years of experience in building web apps using Django & Python, emphasizing architecture and maintainability. - Proficiency in Data Structures, Algorithms, and adept analytical and problem-solving skills. - Familiarity with DVCS like Git. - Passion for working at the intersection of technology and business. - Ability and willingness to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with minimal guidance. Good to have skills/qualifications: - Bachelor's degree from IITs, NITs, and IIITs. - Expertise in Relational data design, Postgres DB & SQL. - Experience with Time-series or large-scale databases. - Knowledge of Django Celery, Python-based testing framework. - Understanding of Microservices principles (Realtime and Event-Driven). - Proficiency in API Design. - Experience with Dockerization of applications and managing containerized applications on Kubernetes. - Familiarity with AWS/Azure/Google Cloud.
