Job Description

Description

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as an Azure Kubernetes Service Engineer. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Kubernetes and Istio upgrades, as well as a solid understanding of container orchestration in cloud environments.

Responsibilities

Manage and maintain Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters.
Perform upgrades and migrations of Kubernetes and Istio.
Implement and monitor best practices for security and performance in Kubernetes environments.
Collaborate with development and operations teams to optimize deployment pipelines.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Kubernetes and Istio environments.
Document configuration changes and operational procedures.
Provide support and training to team members on Kubernetes and Istio.

Skills and Qualifications

5-10 years of experience in managing Kubernetes clusters, specifically Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
Strong knowledge of containerization technologies, particularly Docker.
Experience with Kubernetes upgrade processes and best practices.
Familiarity with Istio service mesh, including installation, configuration, and upgrades.
Proficient in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
Understanding of cloud infrastructure and services, especially Azure.
Knowledge of CI/CD tools and methodologies.
Experience with monitoring tools for Kubernetes and Istio, such as Prometheus and Grafana.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
