Role Overview

AWS Data Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable data pipelines using AWS Glue and PySpark.
• Implement serverless data processing workflows using AWS Lambda and Step Functions.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Git, Jenkins, or AWS CodePipeline.
• Optimize ETL processes for performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver data solutions.
• Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with enterprise standards.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows and infrastructure.
• Document technical solutions and maintain best practices.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services: Glue, Lambda, S3, EC2, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch.
• Proficiency in Python and PySpark for data engineering tasks.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and practices.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform (preferred).
• Knowledge of data lake architecture and big data processing.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in BFSI domain or financial data systems.
• Exposure to Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of data governance and data cataloging tools.
