Define and maintain the overall data lake architecture and design principles
Lead the design and review of ETL/ELT pipelines and data workflows
Establish coding standards, best practices, and development guidelines
Conduct code reviews and provide technical mentorship to data engineers
Prioritize and assign tasks to team members based on sprint goals
Collaborate with product owners, data scientists, and analysts to gather requirements
Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across all pipelines
Oversee implementation of data governance, lineage, and metadata management
Drive the adoption of CI/CD practices for data pipeline deployment
Monitor pipeline performance and optimize for scalability and efficiency
Ensure compliance with data security, privacy, and regulatory requirements
Evaluate and introduce new tools, frameworks, and technologies
Coordinate with DevOps and infrastructure teams for environment setup and maintenance
Develop and maintain documentation for architecture, processes, and standards
Manage stakeholder communication and set expectations for data delivery
