Job Description

As an AWS Cloud Engineer, your role will involve understanding clients' infrastructure and various applications running on the servers. You will be responsible for writing, reviewing, and approving automation and infrastructure code. Additionally, you will collaborate with project teams to build automation pipelines for application environment deployments. Your innovative thinking will be crucial as you brainstorm new ideas and ways to improve development delivery. You should be able to present and communicate architecture in a visual form and evaluate potential single points of failure within the Cloud infrastructure. Furthermore, you will recommend risk mitigation steps to build out a high availability solution and apply your experience and technical knowledge to resolve complex Operations challenges. Your qualifications should include: - 7+ years of strong experience in Apache/Tomcat, Linux, and open-source technology stacks. - Designing, building, and supporting a robust internal PAAS (Platform as a Service) capability. - Hands-on experience with AWS cloud and its various services like VPC, EC2, RDS, Security Groups, IAM, ECS, Code Deploy, CloudFront, S3, Lambda, IoT, CloudFormation, etc. - Establishing new DevOps practices for cloud environments. - Managing production infrastructure with tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, etc. - Good understanding of CI/CD tools, practices, processes & applications such as Ansible, Salt, Git, Jenkins, etc. - Provisioning critical system security by leveraging best practices and prolific cloud security solutions. - Effectively communicating issues, risks, and dependencies with project stakeholders, escalating where appropriate. - Providing recommendations for architecture and process improvements. Preferred qualifications would include knowledge of GCP and Azure cloud, AWS Solution Architect/DevOps Engineer certification, creating infrastructure architectural designs for IT Cloud deployments, and a desire to engage in continuous learning to stay updated on the latest DevOps technologies and AWS product updates.
