Job Description

Primary Skills:

AWS Infrastructure & Architecture

Deep understanding of AWS services (EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, peering, IGW etc.)
Designing scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures

Infrastructure Migration

Experience migrating workloads from on-premises to AWS
Familiarity with AWS Migration tools (AWS Migration Hub, Server Migration Service, Application Migration Service)

Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

Proficient in Terraform (preferred)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (e.g., AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins)

Documentation & Knowledge Sharing

Creating architecture diagrams(HLD/LLD), runbooks, and technical documentation

Security & Compliance

IAM policies, encryption, security groups, and compliance frameworks

Cloud Cost Optimization (FinOps)

Implementing cost-saving strategies (rightsizing, reserved instances, auto-scaling)
Familiarity with AWS Cost Explorer, Budgets, and Trusted Advisor

Troubleshooting & Performance Tuning

Diagnosing and resolving complex issues in AWS environments
Network, compute, and storage troubleshooting

Secondary Skills (Nice-to-have or supporting competencies)

Security & Compliance

IAM policies, encryption, security groups, and compliance frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR)

Monitoring & Logging

Experience with CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and third-party tools like Datadog or Splunk

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

Working with cross-functional teams (DevOps, Security, Finance)
Translating business requirements into technical solutions

Multi-Cloud Awareness

Exposure to Azure or GCP is a plus, especially for hybrid or multi-cloud strategiesRole & responsibilities
