Job summary

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise-level cloud architecture and technical strategies on AWS.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Evaluate and select appropriate AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS) based on project requirements.
• Ensure the security, availability, scalability, and performance of cloud environments, often in collaboration with other engineers and teams.
• Implement and manage microservices architecture, often using containers like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Perform cloud lifecycle management, including migration of on-premises systems to AWS.
• Identify and implement cost-control mechanisms to manage cloud spend effectively.
• Stay up-to-date with new AWS services and best practices, and provide technical guidance to teams.
• Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for all cloud services and architectures. 

Required qualifications

• Proven experience in designing and deploying solutions on the AWS platform.
• Strong understanding of core AWS services, including compute, storage, database, and networking.
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of cloud security principles and experience in implementing security best practices.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
