AWS Architect

Core Responsibilities

• Design and Implementation

  : Architect, build, and maintain cost-efficient, secure, and scalable AWS cloud environments to meet business needs.

• Collaboration

  : Work closely with development and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into efficient cloud solutions.

• Optimization

  : Regularly optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, security, and cost efficiency, using AWS best practices.

• Cloud Migration

  : Lead efforts to modernize and migrate legacy systems and data to AWS, minimizing downtime and maintaining data integrity during transitions.

• Technical Leadership

  : Mentor and guide teams on AWS architecture, staying updated with the latest AWS innovations and integrating new services when appropriate.

• Automation and DevOps

  : Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like CloudFormation or Terraform; enable CI/CD and automation in cloud operations.

• Security and Governance

  : Ensure compliance with AWS security and governance best practices, proactively managing risks and vulnerabilities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture (particularly AWS), including strong expertise in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and VPC.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (CloudFormation, Terraform), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
• AWS certifications (e.g. AWS Certified Solutions Architect or higher) are highly beneficial and often required.

• Ability to assess business needs and translate them into robust AWS-based solutions.

Typical Duties

• Solution design, technical presentations, and architectural analysis for the projects.
• Continuous monitoring and troubleshooting of AWS cloud systems, implementing strategies to eliminate bottlenecks.
• Research and recommend new AWS services or third-party platforms to support evolving business needs.
