Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain UI automation frameworks using Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript).
Develop and execute API automation scripts using REST Assured (Java) or equivalent tools.
Build modular, scalable, and reusable automation scripts aligned with project architecture.
Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing for complex workflows.
Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and QA leads in Agile/Scrum teams.
Integrate automation tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
Participate in code reviews, test planning, and automation strategy discussions.
Analyze test results, identify root causes, and work with development teams to resolve defects.
Ensure high-quality releases through continuous testing and shift-left QA practices.
Maintain test data, reports, and documentation to ensure traceability and transparency.

Must Have:

Strong hands-on experience with Playwright using JavaScript or TypeScript.
Deep understanding of Playwright Test Runner, Page Object Model (POM), and custom framework design.
Experience with API testing and automation using REST Assured (Java).
Solid knowledge of Core Java, OOP concepts, and JSON/XML handling.
Experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, and Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools.
Understanding of HTTP methods, status codes, authentication mechanisms (OAuth, JWT), and API schema validation.
Good knowledge of database validation using SQL.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Defect Management tools (Jira, Zephyr).

Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in
computer science

, or a related field.
Proven experience in automation testing, particularly for APIs.
