Automation Tester

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Automation Tester to design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for validating software functionality, performance, and reliability. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with automation frameworks, scripting languages, and modern QA practices to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Role & responsibilities

• Analyze business and functional requirements to identify automation opportunities.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium.
• Develop and enhance automation frameworks for web, mobile, API, or desktop applications.
• Execute automated test suites and analyze test results to identify defects and performance issues.
• Integrate automated tests

  into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, etc

• Collaborate with developers, manual testers, and business analysts to improve test coverage and quality.
• Perform regression testing, smoke testing, and sanity checks across different releases.
• Document test cases, scripts, and testing procedures following best practices.
• Report and track bugs using tools like JIRA, TestRail, or HP ALM.

Preferred candidate profile

• 2 - 4 years of experience in automation testing.
• Strong programming/scripting skills in Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.
• Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as:
• Selenium WebDriver
• Cypress
• TestNG, JUnit, NUnit
• Playwright or Puppeteer
• Appium (for mobile testing)
• Experience with API testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or SoapUI.
• Proficient in using version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information System or a related field.
