Automation Engineer

As an Automation Engineer, your role will be to design, program, install, and maintain automation and control systems onboard ships. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the smooth operation of machinery automation, navigation, propulsion, and safety systems in compliance with marine standards. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and program automation and control systems for shipboard applications. - Configure and maintain PLC, SCADA, and control systems for propulsion, power management, HVAC, and machinery. - Conduct testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of automation systems. - Prepare technical documentation, control logic diagrams, and system manuals. - Ensure compliance with class regulations, IMO standards, and safety requirements. - Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and design teams for system integration. - Support ship trials and provide technical assistance during project execution. Qualifications & Experience: - Bachelors Degree/Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering. - Experience in marine automation, shipbuilding, or offshore industry preferred. - Knowledge of classification society rules and international marine standards is an advantage.
