Job Description

As a network engineer at NTT Global Data Center Japan/APAC in Singapore, you will be responsible for managing the daily operation of the network infrastructure. Reporting to the Director APAC IT, you will support the business and client requirements by handling network equipment, security systems, VoIP telephony, and providing technical support. You will have the opportunity to work on projects, participate in an on-call rota for out-of-hours support, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: - Managing network equipment such as routers, switches, and WIFI - Handling DNS/DHCP/IPAM and security equipment including Firewall, VPN, and Vulnerability scanner - Maintaining infrastructure monitoring and alerting systems - Managing VoIP telephony system - Providing Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting for network issues - Offering internal technical support and escalation path for complex networking problems - Interfacing with on-site engineers and contractors during network provisioning - Participating in projects and on-call support - Performing any other duties relevant to the position and company's operations Required Experience: - Prior experience in an IT Department within a Data Center is desirable - Knowledge of routing (OSPF/BGP/CIDR/VRRP/IPv6), switching (VLANS/LACP/PoE/STP), and general networking concepts (DNS/DHCP/SMTP/VPN) - Experience with Windows and Linux servers - Willingness to handle hands-on tasks related to data center operations - Flexibility to travel to other locations at short notice - Ability to collaborate with stakeholders from different business areas/functions Academic Qualifications and Certifications: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field - Certifications like CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or JNCIA are beneficial Join NTT DATA to continue growing your career in a diverse and inclusive workplace.
