Associate Automation Engineer

As a Software Engineer at HeadSpin, your role will involve creating automation scripts using Appium and Selenium with Python/Java to test and automate mobile UIs on Android and iOS platforms. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with top-tier customers and become Appium Pro certified. Key Responsibilities: - Write automation code for mobile applications - Capture data and perform analysis on mobile applications - Develop dashboards based on captured data and provide insights to customers - Assist customers with automation tasks when needed - Understand iOS and Android applications, UI structures, and develop tooling for automated interactions - Have a deep understanding of Appium and Appium Desktop internals - Familiarity with mobile frameworks like Espresso and XCTest - Develop and enhance production-grade web services and agents using Python and Tornado - Work collaboratively in a highly motivated team focused on pushing boundaries in mobile testing - Maintain and evolve the automation test framework to ensure product quality - Collaborate with software engineers and testers to create robust test cases - Identify, document, track, and resolve bugs effectively - Uphold code and product quality standards - Support customers in maximizing the value of HeadSpin's offerings Qualifications Required: - BS in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field - 0-2 years of hands-on experience in software development or SQA - Self-motivated, creative, focused, results-oriented, and a problem solver - Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java) - Strong skills in MySQL or other databases, including SQL query writing - Good understanding of Linux/Unix environments - Solid knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes - Familiarity with Appium (mobile automation tool) or Selenium (web automation tool) - Experience with automation testing tools - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Android and/or iOS development experience - Agile/Scrum methodology experience - Strong troubleshooting abilities - Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and content creators,
