Associate Architect

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Architect located in Hyderabad. The Architect will be responsible for managing architectural projects, designing innovative and sustainability focused structures, and integrating architectural concepts with software development. Day-to-day tasks include developing and presenting design proposals, coordinating with project teams, overseeing construction phases, and ensuring projects are completed within deadlines and budgets. The Architect will also interact with clients to understand their needs and translate them into functional, beautiful spaces.

Qualifications Required

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture
• ~3 years relevant work experience in architectural design or similar roles
• Project Management skills and experience coordinating project teams
• Proficiency in essential architectural design software(s) and tools
• Strong visualisation and technical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Key Responsibilities

As an Associate Architect, you will primarily support Principal and Senior Architects in delivering design projects from concept to completion. Your role involves contributing to design development, ensuring regulatory compliance, and coordinating with clients, consultants, and vendors as required. While your primary responsibility is to assist senior leadership, you may also take the lead on selected projects or specific project aspects when required. Additionally, you will oversee certain aspects of construction and contribute to the firm's growth through active participation and knowledge sharing.

Standard Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead and/or support the development of architectural designs, plans, and presentations.
• Oversee and/or assist in the design process, from concept to execution, ensuring quality, functionality, and coherence; This shall include the creation of detailed drawings, 3D models, and design documentation.
• Conduct in-depth research and analysis to inform and support project development.
• Conduct in-depth research on materials, construction techniques, sustainability practices, and emerging design trends.
• Coordinate effectively with senior architects, project managers, consultants, contractors, vendors, and clients to facilitate seamless project execution.
• Ensure strict adherence to regulatory requirements, building codes, and sustainability standards.
• Lead and/or participate in client meetings, design presentations, and project reviews, effectively communicating design concepts and solutions.
• Develop and manage project documentation, including drawings, specifications, reports, and compliance documents.
• Manage aspects of construction oversight, including site visits, quality checks, and issue resolution.
• Assist in project coordination, scheduling, and budget tracking, ensuring timely and cost-effective deliverables.
• Stay at the forefront of industry trends, sustainable design practices, new technologies, integrating them into designs.
• Mentor and guide juniors and design team members, fostering their professional development.
• Contribute to business development efforts by participating in proposal development and presentations.

Beyond design execution, your role extends to collaboration with project teams, maintaining accurate documentation, and staying informed about industry trends and sustainability-focused practices. You may also be involved in client meetings, site inspections, and project coordination as needed, ensuring smooth project execution and adherence to quality standards.
