Job Title

Assistant Project ManagerThis role is responsible for the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work of a building under construction. Also having sound understanding of the impact of the mechanical, electrical and plumbing settings within the construction process.

Responsibilities

  • Project Execution & Coordination
    • Assist the Project Manager in planning and executing civil, structural, finishing, and MEP works.
    • Coordinate daily site activities with contractors, consultants, vendors, and client representatives.
    • Monitor project progress, identify potential delays, and suggest corrective actions.
    • Ensure proper sequencing of works to meet deadlines.
  • Quality & Safety
    • Enforce adherence to quality standards, approved drawings, and specifications.
    • Ensure compliance with statutory, environmental, and safety norms at site.
    • Conduct regular inspections and highlight non-conformities.
  • Planning & Monitoring
    • Track project schedules, manpower deployment, and material requirements.
    • Assist in preparing micro-level work programs and resource allocation plans.
    • Update daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for management review.
  • Commercial & Documentation
    • Verify contractor bills, measurement sheets, and site records.
    • Support in cost control, reconciliation of materials, and BOQ verification.
    • Maintain project documentation including contracts, approvals, RFIs, and work permits.
  • Stakeholder Management
    • Maintain effective communication between all stakeholders to avoid conflicts.
    • Escalate critical issues to Project Manager with solutions/recommendations.
