Assistant Manager - Program Purchasing

What you can look forward to as Assistant Manager - Program Purchasing  :

• Coordinate procurement / outsourcing process(es) with suppliers / contractors, to identify /manage / eliminate risks / hazards arising / contractor’s/supplier’s activities to organization or interested parties & vice versa based on one’s education, training, or experience towards improved EHS performance in compliance to EHS regulations (ISO, Group Directives & SOPs). Also be responsible to follow & upkeep general HSE regulations in own’s area of work
• Based on ZF planning cycles, the job holder will produce a budget and a resources plan for one’s cost center for approval along with the Department Head. Through budgetary control and the initiation of measures in response to budget variance, ensures compliance with variable cost targets and budgets.
• Tracking of current & past/Future BOM including development of targets & VAVE. Develop detailed BOM estimation
• Optimize material cost of product (VAVE) , Conduct VA/VE Workshop.Lead change management activities for purchasing.
• Drive RFQ, Price Negotiation & implementation of the change & handover to commodity.Drive approval & implementation of change request
• PEP Planning & Execution – Launch management & supplier readiness including prototypes (New Project)
• SWAT Creation & Hand over package
• Release of technical workbook & support in supplier technical review meeting

Your profile as Assistant Manager - Program Purchasing)

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/mechatronics engineering or Equivalent.
• Years of relevant experience: 6-8 yrs. of experiences in the field of Heavy engineering Industries & expert knowledge in Purchase, Supplier Development, VA/VE & Global Sourcing of relevant products.
• Functional/Technical competences as below
• Good Techno-commercial knowledge on commodities (Assemblies, Bearings & others)
• Well conversant with supplier development and knowledge of supplier handling.
• Working experience on ERP (SAP), Microsoft office, Power BI & Power Apps
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Adherence to QMS, EMS & OHSAS (WI, HIRA, SIS, EMP etc.,)
• Knowledge of 5S, Kanban, Kristal, ZFPS & Kaizen
