Assistant Manager - IT

Role & responsibilities

• Assist in managing and maintaining the companys IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and communication systems.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure minimal downtime.
• Support IT project planning, execution, and delivery within set timelines and budgets.
• Implement IT security measures, data backup strategies.
• Manage user access, IT assets, and software licensing compliance.
• Provide technical support and guidance to staff, resolving escalated IT-related issues.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for IT procurement, maintenance, and support.
• Assist in developing IT policies, SOPs, and best practices to improve IT governance.
• Train and mentor IT team members, fostering skill development.
• Prepare regular reports on IT operations, system health, and technology improvements.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure (networking, servers, storage, firewalls, etc.)
• Knowledge of cloud computing (AWS, GCP) and virtualization.
• Expertise in IT security principles and tools (DLP, antivirus, endpoint protection).
• Experience with IT service management, helpdesk, and ticketing systems.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
