Assistant Manager- Finance

As the Accounts & Tax Manager at Haptik, you will be an integral part of our dynamic team, responsible for managing core accounting operations, book closures, revenue recognition, and direct tax compliance. Your expertise as a Chartered Accountant with 2-3 years of post-qualification experience, combined with hands-on proficiency in Tally and Excel, will be crucial in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of our financial and tax reporting processes. Your key responsibilities will include day-to-day accounting tasks in Tally such as ledger scrutiny, journal entries, and reconciliations. You will play a vital role in ensuring timely month-end and year-end closure of books, conducting variance analysis, and providing detailed reasoning for deviations. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing financial schedules and reports for internal reviews and audits. In the realm of revenue recognition and projections, you will be tasked with ensuring proper revenue recognition in compliance with contractual terms and accounting standards. Tracking revenue accruals, coordinating with business teams for billing accuracy, and assisting in revenue forecasts and monthly MIS reports will also fall under your purview. When it comes to direct taxation and compliance, you will collaborate with consultants for income tax assessments, audits, and compliance notices. Maintaining documentation for tax audits and transfer pricing, if applicable, will be part of your responsibilities. Your role will also involve preparing monthly P&L, balance sheet, and variance reports using Excel, reconciling key accounts, and ensuring financial data accuracy for reporting to management. Additionally, you will provide support during statutory and internal audit processes, including schedule preparation, query resolution, and documentation. The ideal candidate for this role will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles, tax compliance, and revenue processes.
