Assistant General Manager - MEP

Overall purpose-

Drives the execution of all MEP Services (PHE & FPS) activities at the project site from drawing to the testing and commissioning stage within prescribed quality standards

Role & responsibilities

Design Stage Responsibilities

• Coordinate with MEP consultants, architects, liaisoning, leasing, and contracts teams to ensure design integration, statutory compliance, and contract award support.
  
• Review MEP tender documents, drawings, and fire/life safety (NBC/IS/NFPA/FLS) requirements; provide inputs, ensure incorporation, and align designs with HOD/Operator standards.
  

Submission and Approval of Drawings

• Obtain and review shop drawings and technical data sheets from contractors; ensure comprehensiveness, compliance, and alignment with consultant/Operator standards.
  
• Finalize modifications, manage coordination drawings, and support green building certification requirements in consultation with AVPMEP.
  

Site Execution

• Lead MEP execution through planning, scheduling, and progress review meetings with contractors/OEMs; monitor timelines, budgets, quality, and safety.
  
• Resolve delays, oversee testing/commissioning, ensure smooth handover with minimal snags, and provide ongoing technical support to Operations/Retail teams.
  

Preferred candidate profile

Graduate in Mechanical B.E / B. Tech / Diploma with10-12 Years / Diploma in Mechanical with 15-18 Years experience

Special Skills/Attributes

• Sound Knowledge of Installation, Testing & commissioning of Plumbing and Fire-fighting protection equipments and systems
• Project execution and management
• Review of drawings in Autocad
• Knowledge of safety norms/ rules and regulations
