Job Description

Finance and Accounts Assistant  Manager

  1. Financial Accounting & Reporting:

    • Prepare, analyze, and present financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
    • Prepare and validate the companys financial performance, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
    • Coordinate with auditors for internal and external audits and manage the implementation of audit recommendations.
    • Preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax laws.
  2. Budgeting and Forecasting:

    • Develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts.
    • Monitor and control budget variance, identifying and analyzing discrepancies.
    • Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance reports to senior management.
  3. Financial Compliance & Controls:

    • Ensure that all financial processes and transactions comply with legal regulations and company policies.
    • Establish, maintain, and review internal controls to safeguard company assets.
    • Manage statutory compliance, including GST, income tax, and other regulatory filings.
  4. Treasury & Cash Flow Management:

    • Oversee daily cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operations.
    • Manage banking relationships and ensure optimal cash management practices.
    • Ensure the timely payment of accounts payable and collection of accounts receivable.
  5. Management Support & Strategy:

    • Provide financial insights and strategic recommendations to senior management for decision-making.
    • Assist in financial analysis of business opportunities and potential investments.
    • Contribute to the development of financial strategies and business plans to enhance profitability.
  6. Team Management:

    • Lead and mentor the finance team, ensuring professional development and maintaining high standards of performance.
    • Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams for smooth execution of financial operations.
  7. Ad-Hoc Analysis and Reporting:

    • Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis, scenario planning, and financial modelling to support business decisions.
    • Work with the leadership team on financial due diligence and business restructuring, if needed
