Assembly Layout Engineer/ Industrial Engineer

As a Mechanical Engineer with a background in vehicle assembly line layout optimization, you will leverage your 5+ years of experience to provide valuable insights and suggestions for improving layout options. Your proficiency in AutoCAD software will be essential in preparing, reviewing, and modifying layouts effectively. Your role will involve a deep understanding of vehicle manufacturing assembly line layouts, workstation arrangements, equipment placement, material flow, and manufacturing processes. By utilizing your expertise, you will be able to identify opportunities for enhancing layouts and maximizing space utilization. You will be responsible for independently handling projects and tasks, offering diverse solutions to optimize assembly line processes. Through analyzing existing layouts, you will identify areas for improvement, considering factors such as product variants, fixture space, storage capacity, kitting, and tool availability. Your familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, time studies, line balancing, and waste reduction techniques will be instrumental in enhancing the efficiency of assembly production lines. Ensuring compliance with industry standards for layout design, ergonomics, safety, and quality will be a key aspect of your responsibilities. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including plant ME and production teams, will be crucial for reviewing layout options and incorporating valuable inputs. You will also be required to prepare detailed layout drawings and documentation for approval and production readiness reviews.
