As an Apps Support Sr Analyst at Citi, your role is to provide technical and business support for users of Citi Applications. You will be responsible for maintaining application systems in daily operations, managing application environments for stability and functionality, and driving improvements to ensure the success of the business. Your role will involve the following key responsibilities: - Providing quick resolutions to application issues and driving stability, efficiency, and effectiveness improvements - Managing, maintaining, and supporting applications and their operating environments - Conducting start of day checks, continuous monitoring, and regional handover - Performing same-day risk reconciliations - Developing and maintaining technical support documentation - Maximizing the potential of the applications used - Identifying and escalating production issues to business and technology management - Ensuring storage and archiving procedures are functioning correctly - Participating in application releases and post-implementation analysis - Acting as a liaison between users/traders, internal technology groups, and vendors - Raising problems to appropriate technology and business teams while adhering to Service Level Agreements - Providing evaluative judgment in complicated situations and impacting the quality of work provided by self and others - Engaging in Support Project items, covering Stability, Efficiency, and Effectiveness initiatives - Performing other assigned duties and functions Qualifications required for this role include: - 9+ years of experience in an Application Support role - Proficiency in Big data technologies like spark, Hive, impala - Minimum 5 years of experience in Data support including ETL processes and tools like Abinitio, Informatica, or Talend - Proficiency in scripting languages like SQL and UNIX, with Python as a nice-to-have - Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends - Experience with installing, configuring, or supporting business applications - Advanced execution capabilities and ability to adjust quickly to changes - Effective written and verbal communication skills - Strong analytical skills - Knowledge/experience of problem management tools - Good technical skills and ability to share information effectively Education: - Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience In this role, you are expected to operate with a limited level of direct supervision, exercise independence of judgment and autonomy, and act as a Subject Matter Expert to senior stakeholders and/or other team members.
