Role Description:
- Technical Leadership & Strategy: Provide comprehensive technical oversight and direction for application development and maintenance across a complex portfolio including Mainframe (z/OS, COBOL, DB2), Java-based Distributed Systems, and Guidewire PolicyCenter applications
- Team & Project Management: Lead, mentor, and guide multiple large, cross-functional development teams (including onshore and offshore resources) toward the successful and timely delivery of complex, large-scale programs
- Architecture & Design: Drive the technical design, architecture, and implementation patterns for building large, high-volume distributed and mainframe real-time transactional systems
- Guidewire Expertise: Oversee development and configuration within Guidewire PolicyCenter, ensuring solutions align with business needs and platform best practices
- Technology Stack Management: Ensure the effective use of modern Java frameworks (e.g., Angular, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud) and integration technologies, including extensive experience with Web Services, JSON, and REST formats
- Cloud Adoption: Guide teams in utilizing and integrating AWS/Azure technologies and best practices for modern application development and deployment
- Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce robust development standards, code reviews, and testing practices to ensure high-quality, scalable, and secure application delivery
Business Alignment:
Partner closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and architects to translate P&C insurance business requirements (specifically
