APIGEE Architect

• Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related fields
• 10+ years of experience working on Java development or mission-critical development/support engagements
• Proven experience working with Apigee or similar API management software in mission-critical support engagements
• Strong understanding of API management concepts and best practices
• UNIX/Linux commands knowledge
• Cassandra or similar DB experience
• Experience with Apigee administration, configuration, and development
• Familiarity with Apigee Hybrid and its deployment architecture
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and leadership abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

Good-to-have Skills:

• Experience with API security protocols and practices.
• Understanding of cloud environments and hybrid deployment models.
• Relevant certifications in Apigee or API management.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
• Knowledge of programming or scripting languages such as Java, Python, etc.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools like Splunk, AppDynamics, etc., to analyse data, monitor performance, and detect errors.

• Provide technical architecture leadership and guidance in the design, implementation, and support of the platform
• Manage and configure API Gateway for optimal performance and security
• Oversee day-to-day operations, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of the platform
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of APIs
• Implement and enforce best practices for API design, security, and performance
• Contribute to the strategic planning and decision-making process regarding API management solutions
• Lead the evaluation and migration from Apigee on-prem to Apigee Hybrid
• Mentor and train team members on Apigee best practices and tools
