Job Description

As an API Rest Assured Automation Test Engineer at Cognizant in Chennai, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software through automation testing. Here is a breakdown of what will be expected from you: Role Overview: - You should have a minimum of 4 - 10 years of relevant experience in Automation Testing using Java Selenium. - A minimum of 2+ years of strong experience in API Automation testing using Rest Assured is required. - Your expertise in building scenarios with BDD frameworks like Cucumber, Specflow, or similar will be essential. - Strong skills in Java API testing/Automation with tools like PostMan, RestAssured, Karate, or similar are a must. - Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar is expected. - Proficiency in coding with Java, Jscript, Core Java, Typescript, or similar languages is necessary. - You should be capable of developing, designing, and building test automation frameworks from scratch, selecting the right frameworks based on project requirements. - Experience in cross-browser testing/automation using tools like SauceLabs, BrowserStack, or similar will be beneficial. - Ability to thrive in a flexible and fast-paced Agile environment is crucial. - Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential. - Defining and reporting Quality Engineering metrics will be part of your responsibilities. - You will lead and mentor a team of Quality Engineers. - Hands-on experience with SQL is required.
