API Head

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Head of API Development to oversee our API strategy and implementation. The ideal candidate should possess a solid background in Golang, MongoDB, and Agile methodologies. In addition, strong leadership skills are required to effectively manage and guide a team of developers. The primary objective of this role is to drive our API initiatives, ensuring seamless integration with various services, and deliver high-performance, scalable APIs that are in line with our business objectives. Responsibilities - Lead and mentor a team of API developers and engineers. - Utilize MongoDB for efficient data storage and retrieval. - Implement and oversee Agile processes to ensure timely project delivery. - Collaborate with product managers, front-end developers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and align API strategy with business goals. - Stay abreast of industry trends and technologies to maintain a modern and efficient API ecosystem. - Efficiently manage project timelines, deliverables, and resources. Requirements - Proficiency in Golang, MongoDB, API, and Agile methodologies is a must. - A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - At least 8 years of experience in API development with a focus on Golang and MongoDB. - Strong grasp of RESTful and Graph QL API design principles. - Proven track record of implementing and managing Agile methodologies. - Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines. - Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. - Knowledge of database systems (SQL and NoSQL) and their integration with APIs.
