API Expert

As a valuable member of our Digital Core team, you will play a crucial role as a KONG API Expert system. Your responsibilities will include running technical deep dive and architecture sessions with customers and partners, implementing Proof of Concepts, advising prospects and customers on the integration patterns of SnapLogic with systems such as SAP ERP, S/4, Salesforce, and demonstrating these integrations through APIs. In your role, you will collaborate with various stakeholders such as architects, vendors, partners, and technical teams to understand business needs and translate them into capability/platform roadmaps. Working closely with product owners, business analysts, and developers, you will identify, develop, document, and deliver APIs. Your tasks will involve designing, developing, testing, and implementing APIs for software applications, integrating with assigned APIs, and analyzing and coordinating the development of major components of the API management system. As an integral part of the team, you will be expected to solve operational issues, ensure coding standards and test coverage through peer reviews, and support Siemens Energy's internal and external customers worldwide. You will be responsible for implementing standard processes and design patterns, coaching and mentoring team members, and acting as the primary technical evangelist for integration patterns involving SnapLogic and APIs. To excel in this role, you should possess 4-8 years of work experience in Data Integration, with at least 2 years specifically in API Management. A degree in engineering with a focus on Computer Science/IT or equivalent is required. Your expertise should include technology consulting, architecture, and design related to Enterprise Integration and API Management. Additionally, hands-on experience in Enterprise-wide API management, troubleshooting skills, and proficiency in modern API concepts like GraphQL, gRPC, and Async APIs are essential. You should have a good command of writing API contracts using Swagger and async API specifications, along with a deep understanding of microservice design patterns, service mesh concepts, and web methodologies. Familiarity with languages such as Lua, JavaScript/Typescript, and Python is beneficial. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are important in helping customers find the right solutions.
