Android Developer

Job Overview:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Android Developer with 3-5 years of experience to join our growing mobile development team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in Android development, a passion for building intuitive user interfaces, and the ability to work collaboratively in an agile environment. You will play a key role in developing and maintaining mobile applications that enhance the user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Design & Development:

Develop and maintain robust, scalable, and high-performance mobile applications for the Android platform.

Collaborate with product managers, designers, and back-end developers to deliver high-quality features.

Implement new features and optimize existing features based on user feedback and analytics.

Participate in code reviews, ensuring the code meets industry standards for maintainability and performance.

UI/UX Implementation:

Translate UI/UX designs into high-quality code using Android's design principles and guidelines.

Ensure smooth performance and a polished, user-friendly experience across a wide range of Android devices and screen sizes.

Testing & Debugging:

Write unit and UI tests to ensure high-quality, bug-free code.

Debug and optimize applications to improve performance and user experience.

Work with QA teams to conduct thorough testing of features and ensure no regressions in the product.

Collaboration:

Work closely with cross-functional teams including backend developers, product managers, and designers to create cohesive and seamless application experiences.

Participate in agile ceremonies (e.g., standups, sprint planning, retrospectives) to ensure projects are delivered on time and meet expectations.

Maintenance & Upgrades:

Continuously evaluate and update applications for performance improvements, security patches, and new features.

Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in Android development.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Android development.

Languages & Tools:

Proficiency in Java and Kotlin.

Familiarity with Android SDK, Android Studio, and modern Android frameworks.

Experience with RESTful APIs, third-party libraries, and SDKs.

Architecture & Design:

Strong understanding of MVC, MVVM, and other design patterns in Android.

Experience with libraries like Retrofit, Glide, Dagger, etc.

Version Control: Proficient in Git.

UI/UX: Experience with Android UI components such as RecyclerView, ViewPager, and custom UI elements.

Performance Optimization: Knowledge of best practices for optimizing performance, memory usage, and battery life in Android applications.

Testing: Familiarity with testing frameworks like JUnit, Espresso, or UI Automator.
