Role Overview
We are seeking skilled Alt Text Writers to join our Accessibility Service team in Chennai. The role involves creating accurate, clear, and concise alternative text descriptions for images, figures, and other non-text content, ensuring accessibility compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Write meaningful and contextually relevant alt text for academic, scientific, and technical images.
Ensure alt text meets accessibility standards and project-specific guidelines.
Collaborate with editors and project managers to meet quality and turnaround expectations.
Review and revise alt text to maintain clarity and accuracy.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Graduate with 1–2 years of experience in content writing or alt text writing.
Preferred: Graduate in Chemistry.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG, Section 508, etc.) is an advantage.
Hands-on experience handling alt text for complex images in educational content.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹9,564.69 - ₹36,483.55 per month
