Job Description: Technology AME (Title: Advanced Engineer)

This role will have the lead responsibility of transferring Design to Manufacturing and implementing mass manufacturing processes of PMC product development in Honeywell factories

Technical Skills:

  • Experience with high volume manufacturing and new product introduction especially on Electro Mechanical product development with minimum of two NPI projects execution end to end
  • Skill in plastic molding, metal forming, joining process – welding, soldering, potting and encapsulation, design of process fixtures is preferred
  • Should have knowledge on lean production system.
  • Should have knowledge on control plan and be able to create control plan for NPI projects.
  • Should have experience in Problem solving tools RCA(root cause analysis), A3 , DOE and 8D report to resolve issues during NPI and customer complaints.
  • Knowledge of AC/DC, DC/DC Power supply design
  • Basic knowledge of Analog and digital circuit design
  • Basic understanding of Microcontroller base product design
  • Wireless and RF circuit design knowledge
  • Strong analytical skill for hardware debugging
  • Hands on experience functional test fixtures and automation
  • Prepare design documents, test plan and test reports
  • White and black box hardware testing
  • Aid in the design and development of equipment and systems and redesign existing systems.
  • Knowledge of Honeywell DFx (DFT, DFM, DFR, DFA)
  • DFM review with the cross-functioning team such as mechanical, electrical hardware, firmware/software, and product ID team
  • Good understating of PLM or equivalent data management tools and ECN workflow process
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate project status and program needs across different levels of the organization and different operating environments .
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills in a team environment demonstrating influence across many functions

Job Functions/Responsibilities:

  • In NPI projects, work with design and manufacturing teams to develop, tests and establish manufacturing of products in our global factories
  • Need to define process & equipment specification, setting- up and proving out the production processes at factories as global locations. Develop Process Map, PFMEA, assembly fixture/tooling concepts, and other process documents for parts, assemblies and finished products.
  • Conversant with Six-Sigma / lean methodologies and tools. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions using process control tools such as FMEA, PMAP, Cpk Analysis.
  • Create equipment specifications for new sensor designs and collaborate with cross-functional team to build and implement production equipment.
  • Lead equipment qualification, gauge RR, MSA, process qualification, production process documentation and must ensure product meets yield and PPM requirements
  • Should have capable of preparing project proposal for manufacturing setup with estimation of timeline, product cost, project expense and capital cost.
  • Support Mfg Readiness Level evaluations for programs throughout NPI phases and drive Mfg Readiness to phase gate expectations
  • Ensure compliance to goal for product cost, process yield, and manufacturing readiness schedule execution throughout NPI cycle
  • Utilize technical process expertise and six sigma tools (e.g. DOE’s) to lead process development for NPI parts, assembly process
  • Willingness to work in flex hours for meeting with teams in USA, AP region and domestic or international travel as needed to support process development efforts and issue resolution
  • Establish assembly/process variables for Critical to Quality requirements
  • Co-ordinate with fixture vendors alongside AME to expedite the development process
  • ECN documentation
  • Capability to write PTS (Production Test Specification)
  • Follow up with CCB members for ECN approvals
  • Work with BRP, ERP teams for pricing setup
  • Work with factories for NPD and ISC TRUNs

YOU MUST HAVE

  • A Bachelor degree in Electronics/Mechanical engineering with overall manufacturing experience of minimum 8 years (maximum 10 years) in Product manufacturing or Process development.
