Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Management:
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and reconciliations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain proper records for all financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Compliance & Audit:
  • Ensure adherence to applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, including GST, TDS, and other tax filings.
  • Liaise with external auditors and ensure timely completion of audits.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards (e.g., Ind AS, IFRS).
  • Budgeting and Financial Planning:
  • Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets and forecasts.
  • Provide financial insights and analysis to support decision-making.
  • Analyze variances and recommend corrective actions.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Manage and mentor the accounts team to ensure high levels of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Conduct training sessions to enhance team skills and knowledge.
  • Monitor team performance and ensure timely delivery of departmental goals.
  • Reporting and MIS:
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Develop and maintain MIS for tracking financial performance and key metrics.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Inter- CA/M.Com or equivalent degree.
  • Experience: Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience in accounts and finance, in a manufacturing environment. Listed Company experience is essential.
  • Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax laws, and financial management.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally) and MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage teams and work under pressure.
  • Ensure timely submission of reports to the management.
  • Process Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for streamlining and automating accounting processes.
  • Implement internal controls to safeguard assets and improve operational efficiency.
  • Stakeholder Coordination:
  • Coordinate with banks, financial institutions, and other external stakeholders for smooth financial operations.
  • Support other departments in financial planning and execution as required.
