ABAP Developer

As an ABAP Developer at our company in Bengaluru, you will play a crucial role in designing, coding, testing, and maintaining custom SAP applications. Your expertise in ABAP programming will be utilized to develop, implement, and optimize ABAP-based applications supporting various business processes. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be key in ensuring efficient integration of ABAP programs with other SAP modules. Your responsibilities will also include performing customizations and enhancements to SAP systems, developing reports, forms, interfaces, and user exits, as well as participating in code reviews to uphold best practices. Identifying and resolving issues related to performance, debugging, and troubleshooting will be part of your routine to maintain code quality throughout the development lifecycle. Documentation for all development work will also be a core aspect of your role. Key Responsibilities: - Develop, implement, and maintain ABAP-based applications to support various business processes. - Design and optimize SAP modules (R/3, S/4HANA) based on business requirements and specifications. - Collaborate with functional teams to ensure efficient integration of ABAP programs with other SAP modules. - Perform customizations and enhancements to SAP systems. - Develop reports, forms, interfaces, and user exits in ABAP. - Work on SAP enhancements (BADI, BAPI, user exits) to meet user requirements. - Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices. - Identify and resolve issues related to performance, debugging, and troubleshooting. - Ensure the quality and integrity of code throughout the development lifecycle. - Maintain documentation for all development work. Required Skills and Qualifications: - 4 to 7 years of experience as an ABAP Developer, with hands-on experience in developing SAP applications. - Proficiency in ABAP programming and experience with SAP R/3 and S/4HANA. - Experience with SAP modules such as FI, MM, SD, HR, and others. - Strong knowledge of SAP Reports, ALV, BAPI, BADI, and IDocs. - Solid experience with SAP Workflow, Forms (Smart Forms/Adobe Forms), and Enhancements. - Knowledge of ABAP Objects and Object-Oriented Programming concepts. - Experience with Performance Tuning and debugging techniques. - Familiarity with SAP Fiori and UI5 (good to have). - Strong understanding of SAP ECC and integration with other SAP systems. - Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. Preferred Skills: - Knowledge of HANA, SAP Cloud Platform, and SAP Fiori development. - Experience in Agile development methodologies. - Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.,
