Tax Associate

As a Tax Accountant for the Australian Division, you will play a crucial role in managing various tax-related responsibilities. Your main focus will be on preparing and filing tax returns for Australian clients while ensuring compliance with local tax laws and regulations. You will also handle Goods and Services Tax (GST), Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT), and other relevant Australian taxes. Additionally, your responsibilities will include assisting with the preparation of financial statements, supporting tax audits, and preparing tax calculations and reports for submission to the Australian Taxation Office (ATO). To excel in this role, you must possess a minimum of 2+ years of experience as a Tax Accountant, specifically in the Australian domain. A strong knowledge of Australian tax laws, GST, and ATO regulations is essential. Experience working with Australian clients or handling Australian tax matters will be advantageous. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel is required to perform the job effectively. Your attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work independently and meet deadlines will be key to your success in this position. Moreover, you will be expected to advise clients on tax-related matters, including deductions, exemptions, and tax planning. Ensuring accurate and timely tax filings to meet deadlines is crucial. Collaboration with other departments to maintain financial accuracy and integrity is also a part of your role. It is essential to stay updated with the latest Australian tax regulations and legislative changes to provide accurate guidance to clients. Good communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary for effective client interaction. Immediate joiners are preferred for this position, and the location of work is in Ahmedabad, India.
