Student Counsellor

Job Description:

We are looking for a compassionate, proactive, and experienced Student Counsellor to support the emotional, academic, and social well-being of our students. The ideal candidate will work closely with students, teachers, and parents to foster a positive and supportive school environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counselling to students on emotional, behavioral, and academic concerns
• Identify students in need of special attention and offer appropriate support or referrals
• Conduct life skills sessions and mental health awareness programs
• Support students in developing study habits, time management, and stress coping skills
• Collaborate with teachers and parents to monitor and support student development
• Maintain confidentiality and accurate records of counselling sessions
• Participate in school events, orientation programs, and awareness campaigns

Requirements:

• Master’s Degree in Psychology / Counselling / Social Work or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a school or educational setting
• Strong communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to connect with students across age groups
• Familiarity with CBSE/ICSE school environment preferred
