Student Counsellor -Psychology

Roles & Responsibilities

Offering individual and group counseling sessions to students dealing with personal, social, and academic challenges.

Developing a positive and trusting relationship with students to facilitate effective counseling.

Creating and implementing programs that address students' needs related to personal development, social skills, and academic performance.

Working with parents, faculty, and other university staff to support student success and address any concerns related to student well-being.

Conducting social and emotional assessments to identify student needs and develop appropriate intervention strategies.

Providing support and guidance to students experiencing mental health crises.

Offering consultation and in-service training to faculty and staff on topics related to student well-being and mental health.

Providing guidance and support to students in their career exploration.

Identifying students behavioural traits to recommend coping techniques for stress by analysing students behaviour.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or a related field.
